Football Souvenir
Remember 1966? Of course you don’t. The only thing you know about 1966 is the grainy footage of Geoff Hurst banging in the fourth goal in the World Cup final against Germany and the commentator saying ‘They Think It’s All Over, It is Now!’. Well this is 2010 and we are all hoping for England to do well in the World Cup in South Africa.
Anyone with a ticket from the ‘66 World Cup or a programme from the final is the owner of a great football souvenir. This kind of football memorabilia changes hands for a lot of money and football gifts from each world cup final become more collectible with time.
We have a hunch the England No.1 Fan will be a great football souvenir and of value in years to come. We have emails from collectors saying they haven’t even taken their Man Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal No.1 Fan out of the box to ensure it’s value in the future!
Personally we think they might be a bit mad. We’d prefer it if the No.1 fan was out there singing ‘C’mon England’ or ‘Rule Brittania’ as much as possible. If you want to buy one and keep it in a cupboard for forty years and then bring it out to Antiques Roadshow in 2050 then that’s fine, but whatever you do, the No.1 Fan is a great football souvenir of our times.
The No.1 Fan – A Football gift to write home about!
Looking for presents for dads birthday? He’s a terrible pain to buy for isn’t he? He didn’t wear that jumper you gave him last year and the look on his face when he unwrapped those lovely screwdrivers you bought him – you’d think someone had died! Ask yourself this, does he like football? Will he follow the World Cup? Does he like a laugh? If the answer to all three of these questions is yes, then it’s more than likely that he’ll love the No.1 Fan. It’s a great football gift. He might even crack a smile the miserable git. Football birthday presents are the best way to keep him happy, especially if they dance and chant and look a bit like him – Go on, show him you love him with the the best present for football fans out there. The No.1 Fan – It’s no ordinary football gift.

Our friends at Republik Of Mancunia gave away a Man Utd shirt signed by Ryan Giggs and a Man Utd No.1 Fan in a competition recently, and don’t they look good together? Here at No.1 fan HQ we are great admirers of Ryan Giggs. He’s a great player who’s been loyal to Manchester Utd and, like a fine wine, seems only to improve with age. Rumour has it that Ryan Giggs is also a great fan of the No.1 Fan and keeps one in the potting shed at the back of his mansion. Him and Paul Scholes hang out there smoking roll ups and listening to Dr Dre most nights, taking it in turns to press the button on the base of the Man Utd No.1 Fan. They love it when the Fan sings “Glory, Glory Man Utd”, “Red Army”, “One Man Utd”, “We Love Utd” and United (Clap, Clap, Clap). And who can blame them.
